The McCar Story
The Beginning
Peter starts Nunez Trucking at eighteen years old, with a single used truck, operating from his parents' house.
First Dump Truck
Peter purchases his first dump truck with money borrowed from family members — a bet on himself and the construction boom in Central Texas.
Official Incorporation
A second truck is acquired and Nunez Trucking is officially incorporated as a business entity.
Super Dump Era
Nunez Trucking acquires its first 'Super Dump' truck, dramatically increasing payload capacity per haul.
First Office
The company's first dedicated office is established on Ironhorse Drive in Hutto, Texas.
Major Expansion
Ten more Super Dump trucks are purchased and acreage in Hutto is acquired for new corporate offices, maintenance facilities, and a truck yard.
Innovation Recognized
Peter designs a custom Super Dump truck. After initial skepticism, Freightliner is so impressed it's featured in Heavy Equipment magazine nationwide. The entire fleet is replaced with Peter's custom-designed trucks.
McCar Materials Born
McCar Materials is formed after purchasing the first quarry in Georgetown, Texas. Mining and crushing limestone begins by April. New HQ is completed in Hutto by November.
McCar Companies
Nunez Trucking and McCar Materials merge into McCar Companies — a vertically integrated operation with the most modern fleet, latest quarry equipment, and the best staff in the industry.

Peter Nunez
A native of Austin, Texas, Peter began his trucking company as a teenager. Today, this family man owns and operates one of the largest aggregate hauling companies in Central Texas, securing McCar's place as your number one source for limestone aggregates.
Pedro Nunez
Employee #1 from day one, Mr. Nunez has been a constant mentor and guiding hand. He is the driving force behind McCar's culture of family and hard work — and the reason McCar exists.
